Why We Exist

The last industrial revolution ran on fossil carbon. The next one runs on what grows.

Markets don't change because better products appear. They change because better infrastructure exists. We built OnePoint5 to be that infrastructure — the supply chain, verification and market access the carbon transition actually requires.

The Problem
0 Gtfossil carbon / year

Food, clothing, housing, medicine, energy — the global economy runs on fossil carbon, and dependence climbs every decade. India alone: 3 Gt a year.

0Mtonnes burned

Yet over 100 million tonnes of renewable agri-carbon is burned in open fields every harvest — while industry pays billions for the fossil kind.

Rational.

Clearing a field costs ~$30 a tonne in labour, and carbon projects pay out in 2–3 years — farmers can't wait that long. Burning isn't ignorance. It's the rational default when the economics are broken. That gap is not a farming problem. It's an infrastructure problem.

Origin

Born in the field.

StubbleX began as India's first mobile pyrolysis unit — converting residue to biochar on-farm. The lesson shaped OnePoint5: own the orchestration, the specs and the data.

Why Now

Three forces, one window.

Transitions don't wait for perfect conditions. They happen when pressure, price and possibility arrive at the same time.

01 / Policy

Regulation is pricing carbon in.

CBAM tariffs of 15–22%, Scope 3 disclosure and net-zero commitments are turning fossil-carbon inputs into a line-item liability — and verified substitutes into procurement priorities.

02 / Economics

Fossil inputs keep getting worse.

Volatile prices, rising costs and energy-security risk have made the "cheap, default" option neither cheap nor default. Buyers are actively looking for a way out.

03 / Technology

Verification finally scales.

Satellite monitoring, AI-assisted verification and digital supply chains make it possible to prove where every tonne came from — something that was simply not feasible a decade ago.

Regulation, economics and technology rarely align. When they do, markets move.

Our Infrastructure Thesis

Infrastructure creates markets.

More farmers bring more feedstock. More feedstock supports more processors. More processors attract more manufacturers. More manufacturers generate more data — better verification, lower cost, more buyers. More buyers bring more farmers.

FAQ

Straight answers.

Three BITS Pilani alumni who have built together for eight years — supply chains at Ninjacart and Deep Rooted, big-data products at Atlan, tech stacks at Elixir Labs and Pixis AI. All of it now pointed at one problem: replacing fossil carbon in industrial supply chains.

India, across five states. 1,200+ farms, 2,500 tonnes of residue monetized, 800+ tonnes of carbon locked and 3,000+ tCO₂e verified to date.

Because burning is the rational decision, not an ignorant one. Clearing a field costs roughly $30 a tonne in labour, and carbon projects pay out in two to three years. Farmers cannot wait that long. Over 100 million tonnes of renewable agri-carbon burns in open fields every harvest while industry pays for the fossil kind.
